Cubs last World Series player passes

The last Chicago Cub to play in a World Series (1945), Lennie Merullo has died at age 98. In 1945 he was a 28 year old shortstop. He went into scouting and retired at age 85. As much as I scoff at the Baby Bears I hate to see news like this.
