I sent an email about refinishing my s&w m28 in that world famous s&w nickel finish. They got back to me with all the info I need to do it. The revolver I purchased isn't here yet. Man the service at s&w is fast. A big thanks to s&w.

Do you think they will go thru and inspect the inners of my revolver and replace the worn parts if it has any if ask them?

I think they do that anyway, but I would put it in my letter just to make sure. It has been my experience that they have replaced out-of-spec small parts without charge during a re-finish. I have had them come back with the old parts in a little paper envelope, or wrapped in either paper and taped up or wrapped in clear plastic and taped up.

Same thing here.

While S&W provides excellent service, be advised that, currently, a refinish will likely take 6 months or longer. There was a recent thread about another member who just got his Highway Patrolman back and it was gone for quite a while.

I have never done a refinish, but have always had good experiences with S&W Service. I had problems with a model 27-3 once, first with the hammer pushing off, and then it had to go right back because the cylinder stop was hanging up in it's window. When I got it back that time it had a terrific trigger job that they never mentioned!
