I just looked at the date on the shell casing envelope. Seems pretty easy to me

I'm sure many Google "date my S&W" and don't bother to do anything other than post their question. Note that lots are first timers, and some do not bother to thank anyone for the information they acquire. That annoys me more than the fact that they don't peruse the stickies that tell them the information they need to provide.

A lot of people are not computer savvy and come here hoping that the old looking gun they have is worth a bundle! Some never say thanks because the replies they get are not friendly or treat them as if they are stupid. A lot of the expert replies here come across as condescending at best. We don't always put our best foot forward. I lurked here for a long time before posting because the first couple of posts I put up received responses that left me feeling as above.

Lots of forum members have apparently never read any of the stickys pertaining to anything, even though they've been members for years and years.
Sometimes it catches up to them in ways that are not very pleasant.
