I'm thinking of my first striker fired pistol. Have tried M&P, Glock and SD and like the SD best. (I shoot 39 and 59 series Smiths, except for my Browning Hi Power and S&W pistols).

Live in the Seattle area and am wondering what they are going for. New in one LGS is $325 plus tax. Online, best price I can find is on Gunbroker for $289, but adding in shipping, WA use tax and FFL fee and it's up to $365.

Haven't seen too many used ones online...or people are asking such silly prices for them and I've just passed them over.

Any insights or suggestions?

I'm in MD and they always cost around 375.00 new. I never see any SD's used for some reason. After you factor in transfer fees and tax, like you said, 325.00 sounds about right to me.

For whatever reason, they are going up around here. $359 regular price, $319 or $329 on short term sales. I keep hearing people around here say they are coming with one mag.

Here in Ohio, you can find them on sale for $299. But regular price is usually $319-$329. Mine including tax out the door was $354.10, I believe. Two mags are standard. If a shop is selling them with only one mag, then they are probably taking one out to sell separately.

Still see them @ $299 on a regular basis around this area, otherwise $329 seems to be the average at the stores/shops. Unless S&W is doing something different, you should get 2 mags with the gun!

$299 at my local Academy Sports outside of Nashville. Got mine out the door from a gun show at $340.

Thanks for the help. Looks like $325 is a very fair price. There could be some polymer in my future.

You can see if your lgs will haggle on the price, especially if you wave cash under their nose. Like you said, $325 is reasonable.
