The PHLster City Special holster showed me that appendix in-waist band (AIWB) carry can be the among the most comfortable and concealable. Need to have to have the right gear. The PHLster worked with my J Frames but there were no suitable AIWB holsters for 3rd generation Smiths. By "suitable," I mean thin, proper ride height, and a wing to drive the grip toward the body.
So, I contacted local (Charlotte, NC) holster company, Watchdog Tactical, this morning to see if it could make an AIWB holster for my 3953. Watchdog Tatical was great. It said "yes" and invited me up today to complete a custom order. I left the pistol with them for a few hours as a mold. Picked up the holster and a stock holster for my Sig P365 this evening.
It is solid, comfortable, and I am thrilled to have an AIWB option for my 3rd generation pistols. Will probably ask Watchdog Tactical to make one for my 4553.
I also bought a stock holster for my Sig P365
