Gentlemen and Ladies of the forum, I currently have examples of my favorite Smiths that are engraved and now I want to have one of my favorite Colts engraved. Would any of you that have gone over to the "dark side" please share pictures with the names of the artists that did the engraving on your Gov't Model 1911's or for that matter Commanders. Thanking you all in advance, Joe.

Got to be one 'rounds about here somewhere's...

Found a Pic,
Colt Gov't SXT or some such...Stainless, I had it black oxided after the presentation. She's got a few work related scuffs, nothing serious.

Thanks Dave for post'n a neat 45. Were you pleased with your order from Mr. Flannery?

Bob Evans, Oregon City OR last I knew; probably listed on the FEGA website. He did a very nice job on a 1913 .45 for me back around 1985 or so.

Choose wisely.

Not sure if this applies.

My dad bought this Colt Series 70 in the early 80s. He gave it to me down the road and I actually used this gun to learn various installs. the gun was always reliable but was "ruff" from a cosmetic stand point.

My dad died in 2005 and in his honor, I had the gun cleaned up. I had his nickname engraved on the dust cover. The officers ACP, he bought me in 1988 when I graduated from the police academy. I also had it engraved with his nickname II. I currently carry the officers on duty for plain clothes.
