I've got two sons that have always made us proud, they're both fine young men. I gave them each a new Ruger Bearcat .22 revolver as high school graduation presents, and I gave my oldest son a S&W M686 when he graduated college a few years ago.
Our youngest graduates from the University of Central Arkansas in December with a computer science degree on a full academic scholarship with a 4.0 GPA. He earned enough college hours in high school so that he skipped his freshman year and is graduating with his bachelor's degree in only three years. He did this while working part time throughout high school and college and helping me around the farm.
In recognition of his college graduation I decided to do something a little different so I built up a custom Glock 19 9mm compact for him. Using a standard Glock 19 Gen 3 OD lower, I attached a custom vented upper from Rock Slide USA, stainless steel guide rod with captured 17lb spring, and an Alpha Wolf fluted 9mm barrel. I assembled it this week and then took it to the range to tweak the sites and confirmed that it functioned flawlessly. I think this'll be one that he can enjoy a lifetime.
