Picked up an SD.40 a couple weeks ago, and finally went out to shoot it this past weekend. Well, i realized that the grip isn't quite/big long enough for my hand. I've search for extenders and such with no avail, so I think I'm going to try to expoy or modify an m&p grip extender on one of my sd mags. Anyone have any ideas?

wow, how big is your hand?? LOL
i dont know of any extenders for the SD....most of the time mag/grip extensions are with compact models, and the SD isnt compact and doesnt come in a compact configuration...
Also IF you were to epoxy a m&p mag extender to a SD magazine, the magazine will never go all the way into the gun and lock into place.....

The MecGar +2/+3 extensions for the Beretta also fits the M&P. It works on both 9mm and .40s&w magazines. I tried to put one on my SD9 today and it actually worked. It fits better than the pictures would seem and there is even a little play (read as very little) between the rear of the extension where it almost contacts with the SD9 grip. The magazine seats, the extensions seems solid and I was able to load 18 rounds into the magazine. I could have probably got that 19th round in if I had my maglula with me. I would need to shoot it a lot before I trusted my life with it, but it seems like a go. It definitely increases the overall length of the grip and 18/19 rounds is nothing to sneeze at. Again please note that I just installed it, I have not tested it in any way.
