Hi all, I wanted to share a recent custom project I did. After getting some used K-frame grips on ebay, I decided to convert them to "EDC" grips for a vintage .32 breaktop that regularly makes it way to the range. No use compromising those original Bakelite grips if you don't have to, right?
In a nutshell, the metal circle part behind the S&W logo was removed, a wooden space filler was added, and the S&W logos were reinstalled. Grips were resized to fit the frame. I left a bit of a grip overlap on the frame...maybe reminiscent of a Colt grip?
I would have liked to moved the original grip screw up more, as you can see, it just barely clears the mainspring. Doesn't seem to affect functioning so far.
Let me know what you think - thanks.
