Besides for cerakote and the like, what's out there for creating a unique looking gun for m&p. I have a 2.0 4.25" and a shield 1.0. Both have a custom slide back plate which looks like the slide serrations.

I have a Shield 45 and so does my buddy that I shoot with at the range. I wanted to differentiate mine from his. I decided to apply a case hardened patina (I posted a thread) to the slide. It actually looks really cool and I definitely know which one is mine.

for the plastic just go to HD and look at the various plastic paints. I also bought a plastic primer. Use that first and then any regular spray paint will work. I did that on some AR grips and then sprayed them w/ a texture paint. that gives a nice grippy surface.

I add stippling to my grips - that way if I want to change it...I can. Really makes it easy to wear with no undershirt too.

Maybe make it look like a 1911! Perhaps gold filling the lettering?

I loved your stippled parts on my gun. Too bad my dept made me go back to stock.

Jewel the barrel hood. probably best to let a pro do this unless you've got a jig and decent drill press. done right it really dresses a pistol up.

On a plastic gun? I'd love to see that.

There's more out there on the 'net than you'd think -- ranging from Glocks, to Kahrs, to old Rugers, and a couple of small Taurus semi-autos.

I kind of like the Khar below ... (which has a jeweled mag release, trigger, and extractor I bet the slide release on the other side is jeweled, too.)

The ones that I really don't understand are jeweled magazine bodies...

I yield. I was thinking he meant the dust cover. For the record, I don't like any of those.

I reiterate post #12.
