Custom Magna grips?

I've got a Model 10 I'm thinking of going retro with. I've got a Tyler T and I wanted to outfit it with walnut Magnas. The ones that came with it are beautiful but have a chunk broken off at the top.

I'm having a hard time finding used grips in any kind of decent shape, and was wondering if there's anyone out there who does reproductions or custom wood (not laminate) that will have a similar contour.

Erik - I make these from original factory magnas that are damaged.

Here's a couple pair that I made for a friend in Vegas. His K's are both wearing grip adapters w/ my Custom magnas. These are both made from 30 year old checkered stocks. Send me an email if you'd like

VM, you do beautiful work. Would you consider renewing the worn checkering & finish on a set of grips for a Detective Special?

I can highly recommend both! VM does excellent work (I have multiple sets of his stocks) and Ahrends are fantastic. Just shot my M64 today with a new set of Cocobolo Ahrends combat stocks today. Perfect!

Oh, I've got Ahrends

In fact, I once bought a gun BECAUSE I had Ahrends that would fit it...

But I want to do the Model 10 in something a bit more traditional. VM, that's great work, but I do prefer checkering.

This guy is now making grips for Smiths, so I may give them a try.

I have to say, I tried some of these. Bought them on ebay and they are not desireable at all. Very cheap looking wood and poorly fit.

Here's a totally unsolicited endorsement for Kurac's grips. I have a pair just like those on my Lew Horton 3" N frame and they look and fit great. Tom
