Looks good. What did you use? Did you take it apart to paint?

Looks great i also painted my stock and let it dry for days before i touched it and after a few range sessions it started coming off(hope yours last longer then mine)

Really like what you did with the lettering tell me how you did it so i can be a copy cat:D

If I wanted to apply a clear coat to it what would I use so it isnt glossy?

I gotta hold myself back from doing this. Looks good and all, I just don't trust the durability of the paint. I used the same paint in my saltwater fish tank and it's flaking off. I waited 10 days for it to cure. But I'm so tempted...

anyone that seriouly wants to do this spend the extra few dollars and buy the duracoat firearms paint and be done withit

Unless the surface is sanded there isn't much for the paint to cling to. Fusion paint works well on non porous surfaces because it goes on real dry and tends not to run or puddle as much. Regardless of what the manufacturer says.... it's gonna come off areas that are frequently touched or rubbed if the paint doesn't have much to hold onto.

i agree with the light sanding but im just thinking the solvents and oils wont bother a paint that is made to be used with it.. the 15-22 has a texture close to that of parking.. it may not need much scuffing at all

Well thanks for the info im just going to strip it and repaint it with duracoat the permanent stuff, and tips to quickly strip it without eating the polymer?

The quality and durability of any paint work is directly proportional to the prep work. Make sure all surfaces are degreased as per paint manufacturers instruction. Make sure you use talc free latex gloves to handle the item once it's degreased. Some surfaces might need some roughing up with a fine sand paper or light bead blast, but the most important thing is the degreasing.

maybe you could give me a tip to strip the paint without damaging the polymer, my duracoat is ordered so any tips would help.
