My old man was a gun trader in the 50's and 60's. He was also a carpenter, wood carver, and jack of all trades. Sometime in the 50's for the fun of it he made this full length stock for an old "20th Century" marked shotgun. He refinished the buttstock to match and added what are probably military slings. There's a kind of tiger striping that doesn't show up too great in the picture. This old 12 Gauge reminds me of something a Hatfield would carry. I don't recall us ever shooting this one through the years but it's been around as long as I remember. But it's a cherished heirloom to me and I just love the look of it.
