Obviously I'm aware that this is a S&W site - I've seen this manufacturer before with Smith grips on the various auction sights but have paid them little attention due to the large selection of S&W grips available.

These are for a Ruger Security Six - available as new from the mid-70's just got them today. There is not much out there for after market so I gambled on these.

Definitely liking them so far - may have to try a pair for one of my S&W revolvers.

Yours look nice, the wood similar to Herrett's nicer walnuts and the hardware and shape also similar to Herrett's.

Here's a flyer:

Thank you! I have a set of Herrett's on my 28-2 - they do in fact resemble them both in style and feel.

Although they are rather large, somehow they fit the Security Six, which as you know is sized somewhere between the S&W K and L frame, perfectly, even on the 2.75" barrel.

Wonder what became of Custom Wood, Inc.?

I don't know anything about the company. I see the grips on auctions sites every once in a while and I found that flyer photo somewhere online awhile ago but that's about the extent of my familiarity with them. After seeing yours, I may have to start looking at them a bit more closely. :)
