Customer calmly takes out robber at liquor store.

As far as one handed while holding the six pack; the instructor I train with and have for a number of years, he's a now retired leo btw, routinely puts the class through engaging while carrying an item-could be a water bottle, sometimes a smaller lunchbox, etc. It's a great drill.

Back on topic, seemed justified to me but I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Weak hand training was part of the IPSC competition I engaged in years ago, and I don't recall that Charlie Askins was a big advocate of the two-handed stance.

Bravo for the customer for stopping the robbery and not getting raked over the coals by our progressive AG.
Two negatives. One, the perp is still alive and two, a good bottle of liquor bit the dust.

This part has me thinking he might...notice I said might, and that I think he might...not that he will.

"The customer, who has a valid concealed carry permit, told police he couldn't see what was in the robber's hand, but he could see the look of fear on the clerk's face."

A look of fear aint much to go on, as far as he knew at the time he pulled the trigger, the perp might have been holding a pack of M&M's. At least thats how its being reported, and what I based my comment on.

This is why you do not talk to the Police, the media and friends and family until you have consulted a lawyer and him/her present during any questioning.

Simply involve your 5th Amendment Right to avoid anything you may say being misunderstood or misinterpreted and to ensure you understand the questions exactly.

Well heck he had to shoot one handed...he didn't have anybody to say to.... hold my beer and watch this! Better than canned beer too. ...just remember some jobs can be dangerous...armed robbery is one of them...and I'll bet his heart rate was at least a 100...even someone numb from the neck up would get a little excited!

He needs a BIGGER gun. One he can see when he closes his hand around it. so he can aim a little better and it has a 4 in the caliber rather than a 2

To paraphrase a great philosopher....I don't think the robber was collecting for the Red Cross...

Harry Callahan: Well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the *******. That's my policy.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross.

Another great vid has surfaced. Two store clerks beating a thug with fists and a chair. Crime didn't pay for that punk.

I'm no lawyer, but I don't see the problem. But it could have been worse - at least he wasn't holding a pack of Bud Lite.

Further into this thread someone posted no charges.
But certain states have rules that you cannot carry into certain places. For instance, if an eating establishment sells more food than alcohol (Cracker Barrel for instance) it's legal. If you go into a bar or tavern that sells less food than hooch then you cannot carry.

Some states also have defenses for use of force against felons. I have no idea what Michigan law is. Where I live, such plaintiff cases land like beer flatulence at a stake meeting and there is little expectation of recovery.
