Is there a maker's mark on it anywhere ? Perhaps Taylor Cutlery "made in China" ? It appears to be well made. Any provenance or history on it ? What does it say on the blade under USA ? It's not listed in any of the S&W authorized knife catalogs I have, and being an "auto" knife, it's illegal in many jurisdictions and I have never seen an auto knife listed as a S&W approved and authorized knife. Having said that , I know Taylor probably made 5 times ( and still does) as many knives with S&W's name on them, than were approved by the factory for sale as an authorized S&W knife and listed in their knife catalogs. Ed.

Ed: One side of the blade says Smith and Wesson, USA, police issue.

The other side says Design by Rocky Moser. The blade is under 2".

Rocky Moser is associated with Arizona Knives. They produced your knife, which is Calif. legal due to it's small size, and called it their "Police " model. This model is currently out of production, but had a suggested retail price of $225. various scale materials were available, yours may be real Stag, or an initiation. Neat little knife! Ed.

Arizona Knives web page says " Sorry, no longer available." If enough people call them and want such a knife, I'm sure they could be put back in production, but at $225 ea. ( plus extra for custom scales ) they may not fly off the shelf right away. Actually they are more a piece of masculine jewelry than an all around knife. Ed.
