I bought a 657 mountain gun recently. Shot 50 round & cleaned it. Shot another 50 rounds & cleaned it again. After the second cleaning the cylinder didn't want to close. If I spin the cylinder and try to close it again, sometimes it closes and functions properly, and sometimes it won't. I removed the cylinder for both cleanings. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Nothing seems to be loose. When it gets tight it seems to bind up at the frame & the extractor.

Clean under the ejector REAL GOOD. I'll bet you have some crap there and the ejector isn't going down flush. Also check and make sure the ejector rod moves freely to the flush position. It's possible the internal spring kinked and the rod is not retracting. Most likely is crap under the ejector.

A broken bristle from a brush, inside the cylinder, will prevent the yoke from seating in the cylinder, and causing the assembly to bind when the cylinder is closed. I always leave the yoke in the cylinder when cleaning the cylinder face.
