Cylinder & Slide is not closing!

I was reading a post on the forum the other day where it was mentioned that Cylinder & Slide was closing. Sorry to say that I cannot find that post to offer this reply.

I just received an email that addresses this, really glad to see they are not closing! After being in business for over 36 years William is going to retire, I do wish him well in his retirement as he has certainly earned it! He and his company have always been such an outstanding part of the firearms community!

Kevin sent me your email.  I am currently working with several businesses that are interested in buying C&S.  We are not closing the doors.  We are doing business as usual.  I am just trying to sell C&S so I can retire.  I will be 76 in February so its is time for me to kick back and finish up many projects that I have put on the back burner for years and enjoy myself without the responsibility of running a business.  Please let anyone you know what the real story is.  Thanks

Good News!

Even though I have never used their services I am really glad to hear that the owner is trying to sell the business and hopfully maintain a reliable place for the skilled Gunsmith to carry on the trade. We seem to be retiring more than we are producing, hope William finds a young & talented individual to continue his wonderful reputation and build an even more successful business!

There's a saying that if you want to end up with a million dollars doing gun work, start with 5 million and dive in. Bill is one of the few that actually did very well at it due to good business acumen.

Their U notch rear sight for the new style S&W's is a great product. Hope they will continue to produce them. They work great with SDM gold dot and XS small dot fronts.
