Just picked up a CZ 2075 RAMI 9mm. Anyone have experience with this model? I just read that they can be finicky about feeding ammunition.

I owned one and had failure to feed issues. However, I believe it was just my grip on the gun. My buddy shot it using the same ammo, mags etc.. immediately after I had the problem and it fed just fine for him. His hands are bigger than mine. I ended up selling him the gun. Other than that I really liked the gun. I read online where that was an issue with other owners having to do with their grip on the gun.

If I’m reading the date code correctly, mine was made during the last year of production (2020). Are the internals on the RAMI the same as the CZ75?

I'm not sure what precisely you're asking, otis24: the 2075 was a chopped shorty derived from the Colt/CZ40 which was a derivative of the CZ75. Different part numbers, of course, but the RAMI action was certainly derived from the 75.

Just curious as to the similarities in the internals due to the fact that I will be changing out some parts and didn't find a "how to" video specific to my model. Primarily, I will be replacing the "fish hook" trigger with a flatter profile trigger and reduced power trigger return from Cajun Gun Works. As well as replacing a couple of other pins (hardened firing pin retaining pin, floating trigger pin).

I have two 2075s. It is the subcompact pistol that shoots like fullsize. The first I bought new and the second used. This allows me to have one clean for carry and shoot the other.
No problems ever with feeding using the 10 round magazine. Occasional issues with the extended magazine, which there is no real reason to use for carry, as you might as well carry a compact.

I have plus 10 CZs, all with high round counts. On some I have swapped CGW springs and other parts to improve. I did switch some to solid roll pins, only my P01 ate a stock roll pin. If this is your first CZ shoot it a while before throwing parts at it.
The only must for a 2075 is to swap out the 10 round base plates with extended XD base plates, allowing a full three finger grip.

Is that XD as in Springfield XD? With a gun of that weight, I would have thought a two-finger grip would be OK. It works for me with a Walther PPS M2.

Sure a 2 finger grip is OK, but the extended base plate gives you three fingers with no noticeable difference when carried.

With 2 fingers, and medium sized hands, I occasionally found the need to adjust my initial grip out of the holster. With the extended base plate on the 2075, I have had range sessions in which I immediately switch back and forth from 75b fullsize to PCR/P01 compact to 2075 with no need to make any adjustments in grip or trigger finger placement. All of the guns feel essentially the same.
All you have to do is sand down the XDs so that the magazine locks in the skirt.

And a thanks to the OP. I already shot revolver this week and was having a difficult time deciding on my semi auto for tomorrow. Just pulled one of the 2075s out of the safe and dropped it into the range bag.

Is that “XD” for “extended “ or base plate for a Springfield XD?

Hi Otis,
You might cruise over to Numrich and look at the exploded diagrams. I'm sure YouTube will help beyond that.
cheers, erich

There are two Ramis in my safe. One in .40 and one in 9mm. The .40 is a bit of a handful, but the 9 is a joy to shoot. Well, the curved trigger does tend to pinch my finger on recoil. I really need to look into replacing it with the flatter trigger.

These smaller pistols need relatively frequent spring replacements compared to full size pistols. I was told by CZ service to replace the recoil spring every 500 rounds on the .40. That said, I've never had any failures with either pf them. I've put a couple thousand rounds through the 9, and only about 300 through the .40.

Just took a closer look at my CZ Rami 10 round magazine. The grip extension is a Pearce Grip PG-XD. It doesn’t look like it has been modified. But if it has, someone did a really good job!

No problems with mine, I have used a variety of cheap ammo, it all worked fine.

It has. I added the same baseplate to mine. You have to sand the top down a bit and the back at a roughly 45 degree angle then clean up the edges with finer sandpaper.
