Around 2015, I completed my small collection of CZ surplus handguns with the purchase of a CZ-70 in 7.65mm (.32 ACP). These were advertised as used, but upon receipt it came with a factory box, a cleaning brush, extra magazine and factory test target from 1971. It also had a great deal of preservative oil and looked unfired. It has an interesting safety that would allow "cocked and locked" carry or de-cock on a loaded chamber for double action pull of the first round. These were strictly police guns since they were not chambered in a military round. It's a fun gun to shoot; similar in operation to the Walther PP.

A ČZ70 was one of my first guns. I got it and a ČZ52 from a buddy who thought I ought to have the ČZ pistols as I was the only guy he knew who rode a ČZ motorcycle.

I don't think I've seen a CZ50 or CZ70 with wood grips. The ones I came across were shod in the Warsaw Pact version of Bakelite as far as I could tell.

Yeah; I got a thing for wood, so an EBay seller in Turkey was marketing a one-piece walnut grip with CZ logo for the CZ-70 and I decided to try it. I still have the two-piece plastic grips that came with the pistol.
