Is anyone aware of two female D.C. Officers being shot and killed yesterday, 4/6/2014? It is my understanding they were on loan and working a drug trafficking case with DEA Agents. I can't find any information on any of the news sites. Is this something that doesn't make the news? Thanks.

Nothing on the news and how could it have happened in D.C. anyhow they will arrest you for having empty shell casings.

Last DEA agents killed were in 2009 in a helicopter crash in Western Afghanistan, FBI Special Agent Samuel S. Hicks, Special Agent Forrest N. Leamon , Special Agent Chad L. Michael all on same helicopter.

Thanks gdnagle, I had checked those sites and like you, found nothing current. Maybe it takes a few days to get them posted on there since it just happened yesterday. I was hoping someone from the D.C. area had knowledge of this. From my source the two slain Officers are Sarah Ferguson and Chloe Kendall.

What were dea officers doing in Afghanistan?

Could be talking to family members and doing needed paper work before letting the news out to the "Public".

On things of this type it usually takes 2-3 days before the news media gets all the facts............... with what the department thinks is "Required data".......mostly if the case is on going.

Taliban get their money from the poppy and marijuana fields. If you're not aware, haroin and marijuana is very much in demand in the US and Europe.

Evertime a person buys it, they are buying guns and ammo to kill our troops.

O/P have you tried checking any of the D.C. News papers? It may take a day or so before the officers names are released, but the story should be out by now. If it did happen.

"What was your source for the story? I sincerely hope it's false."
I'd rather not say right now, and I too hope it isn't true.
I have looked in the newspapers and found nothing so far. I would think it would be big news in Washington DC papers if true. I have also checked funeral homes in the area.
How did Afghanistan get in the mix here? This supposedly happened in Washington, DC.

That's my fault I saw from the other post that the last recorded one's were in Afghanistan and I didn't know that they went there.sorry about that.

I did a search and last time two were killed in D.C. were brothers 34, and 26 this was reported in the Saturday, Mar 1, 2014 report as being shot the night before.

Hopefully this is incorrect.

I don't think the papers would sit on a story like this especially in D.C. where you can't have ammunition if you don't have a gun registered there.

One of the best sources I know of is the officer down . com site. A few friends of mine and or folks I know--are listed on that site.

It is incomprehensible that two female police officers would be shot and killed and there would no general news story about such an incident.

Macbullet, somebody's pulling your leg...

"You checked the local funeral homes? Is it just me, or is this a weird post?"
Just looking for any information to verify what I was told, sorry you find it weird. Being a Police Officer, could you shed some light on the timeline in this type situation as far as what information gets out and when? Info I have is that it was a traffic stop related to a drug deal and the the Officer's were fired on when approaching the vehicle.
As mentioned above by Beemerguy53,

I can't figure out why someone would want to play this type of prank on anyone.

When an officer is involved in a shooting it hits the news almost immediately, particularly in major cities and especially DC. Two officers murdered in the line of duty would hit the local stations and papers half-a-second short of instantly.

This didn't happen.

Thank you Gentlemen, I believe you're right in that this didn't happen. My first thoughts were that it would be splattered all over the news, especially since two female Officers were involved, so when I couldn't find anything about it I thought I would ask here. A very cruel practical joke from someone I thought was a friend.
Thank you all of your comments.

Response from the person who told me about this.
"They were DEA agents, I think it has taken on a more internal affairs situation at present, whilst the recovery is dealt with. Plus, I would imagine, a public panic might ensue."

Does this sound logical? "public panic"... Sounds like more B.S. to me.
