I was gonna say the same thing. It seems, here in Florida, it's easily 12,15, or 20 years until justice is served?!

Yep, unfortunately it's like that here in Texas. There was an awful crime here back in '94 where two teenage girls got brutally beaten/gang raped and strangled with ther own shoelaces by these six gang bangers. The main thug is not only still breathing, he doesn't even have his date set yet. And the state lets him pen pal with DP sympathizers.

When you sentence a criminal to death in California, you almost guarantee a lifelong pay check to a defense attorney to file one appeal after another. It is a wonderful system. Please raise my taxes to pay for housing more criminals and paying more defense attorneys. Think of it as a form of economic stimulus. What would Porsche dealers do without death row.

Lawyers drive Porsches in California?

Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Prius for the Politically Correct, Cadillac Escalade, Audi, Jaguar, and one defense attorney recently asked me what I thought of the new Maserati. Successful defense attorneys in California make a lot of money, and a lot of that money is being sucked from the taxpayers. I see them spending their money on expensive cars, expensive clothes, expensive homes, and expensive wives and/or girlfriends. Although I don't advocate the type of justice dispensed by Roy Bean, I think that we need justice reform more than health care reform. Virginia just got rid of a worthless pile of excrement, but there are many others that need to follow him to meet the final judge.
