Sooo, attended gun show at Market Hall today. I have been away because of my work schedule for a number of years.

Wow, the times have changed dramatically and not in a good way.

I recall how difficult it would be to maneuver with all the folks there, today I only had to apologize a couple of times.

The number of dealers shrunk by at least 50%. Lots more knives and craft vendors, and their numbers were way down as well.

I did find some magazines and a couple of handguns but overall very disappointing show.

One of the folks I chatted with recommended another show in the DFW area, so I may check it out next time.

Don’t like being too negative but I was really surprised.

Didn't make it there myself, but friends that went had same comment. Wonder what's going on?

That used to be a huge show!

Some knife dealers there have good stuff, too. One of the best places near here for Puma and Randall knives.

I went on Saturday to the big KCI RK gun show, and it was pretty packed. We ended up parking way out at the edge of the lot and watched over the hours we were there as the crowds grew. The tables with AR kits at low prices were VERY busy.

Gun shows all across Texas are shrinking.
They flat have too many shows.
Some major Texas cities have one once a month.

A person can drive less than 100 miles and
attend a show near ever weekend....

I used to drive the 100 miles to Dallas for that show. It was a big event and the hall was always crowded and there were lots of dealers. Finding a parking spot was a pain. Each year the prices kept getting higher. I haven’t been back in eight years.
