Damned if you do and damned if you don't

... AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT...

Has anyone ever heard of THE SUN ... good ol' SOL? Ya know, that hot ball of stuff most of us see every day in the heavens?

Well, in case ya'll skipped Science classes, it pretty much dominates whatever happens here on Terra Firma, and if you haven't been paying a lot of attention, it's been raising hell for a few months, now, with solar storms, mass ejections of plasma, solar tornadoes and such. These phenomena have even been disrupting some communications and electric grids, and could cause havoc with satellite activity. D'ya think it might affect weather/climate in any way? DUH!!! (Climate IS cyclical, by the way.)

Astrophisycists had been predicting Solar Maximum to occur in 2025, but they are now questioning that assumption and are guessing that it may happen in 2024, if not sooner. Included in all of this is that the Sun will more than likely switch magnetic poles during this cycle of high activity. Do you wonder what kind of effect that might have on Earth? What fun, kids!

This is all something that neither the "weather guessers" nor the Climate Change psychos are taking into account... because it doesn't fit "The Agenda" to scare all of the gullibles to death.

One would think that, in this day and age, that at least SOMEONE with a little education and authority would speak up, infuse a little dose of fact and reality, and "FOLLOW THE SCIENCE"... (to beat that poor dead horse with a splitting maul).

OOPS!!! What in God's Name am I thinking? There isn't a whole lot of money to be made in reality.

Sorry, my bad...

Just checked NASA's page on this info.

Doesn't sound any worst than any other year.

"If Solar Cycle 25 meets the panel's predictions, it should be weaker than average. Cycle 25 is also expected to end a longer trend over the past four decades, in which the magnetic field at the Sun's poles were gradually weakening. As a result, the solar cycles have been steadily weaker too. If Solar Cycle 25 sees an end to this waning, it would quell speculations that the Sun might enter a grand solar minimum, a decades-to-centuries long stretch of little solar activity. The last such minimum — known as the Maunder minimum — occurred in the middle of what's known as the Little Ice Age from the 13th to 19th centuries, causing erroneous beliefs that another grand minimum could lead to global cooling.

"There is no indication that we are currently approaching a Maunder-type minimum in solar activity," Upton said. But even if the Sun dropped into a grand minimum, there's no reason to think Earth would undergo another Ice Age; not only do scientists theorize that the Little Ice Age occurred for other reasons, but in our contemporary world, greenhouse gases far surpass the Sun's effects when it comes to changes in Earth's climate."

My sense of all of this is that the root cause is over-population. The consequences of it are far more onerous than anything else. Think about it.

One just has to look at the charts which show the population of the world and the rate of production of climate changing gases - they are the same. More population, more climate changing gases.

The media and Gov't. officials are always talking about reducing climate changing gases. How come we NEVER hear about the increasing population being the cause?

They are trying hard to blame Canadian wildfires on climate change. Everything points to a lightning strike or human stupidity as the cause. So they say there are increased lightning strikes do to increase in temperature. Next it will be people are more careless about extinguishing fires because they are more tired than normal do to temperature increase. It's all ridiculous. The worlds climate has always been changing. It's all cyclical. If the jet stream is so different then why did I get 60" of snow on weekend of Nov 20 then another 96" Christmas weekend. I'll tell you why. Because as usual the jet stream came across Great Lakes , picked up moisture and dumped it on my head. Just like it's been doing for my 54 yrs here. As for my wood fired pizza. They'll have to pry it from my cold dead hand!!!!

When I lived in Missoula, there was a photo op in the Bitterroot River at a bend near Stevensville. One year heavy rains on top of a high slow melt caused it to straighten and find a new path. Newly transplanted residents actually wrote the Govenor. petitioning that he change it back.

The climate has been changin since Day 7 of Genesis. What would it have been like if the Creator had created Man before He made Night and Day ?
Can you imagine the hysterics ?

When I was back in college, way back in the 3rd quarter of the 20th century, some "study" arrived at the conclusion that termites were the largest single source of methane emissions. At the time "air pollution" was gonna kill us all. Joe
