Date check on my new M&P

I picked up my new M&P40 from Virgina Arms in Manassas, VA today. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy a gun in Northern VA. I can't wait to get out and shoot it at the range. Anyway, I'm hoping someone can identify when my M&P was made. The serial is MRK4XXX. I'd imagine it's pretty recent given that they started with MPAXXXX if I recall correctly.

In the box the gun came in you should find the manual and a yellow envelope with spent brass. it should have a date when it was test fired.
Good Luck on your new M&P. My son and I both have 40 FS and love them. No problems.

I didn't realize that one was included even for guns going to free states. Thanks for the info, looks like my gun was made in October '08.
