Just was curious on my trusty old 19-3 police trade-in.

Wonderful revolver, and I am considering sending it in to S&W for a re-blue.

I don't see the point. Just use it. It will not shoot a bit better with a refinish and it will just make you want to baby it. Shoot it, clean it, store it properly and then shoot it some more.

I see your point about no refinishing it. I already have a couple really nice revolvers that are so nice that I baby them something fierce.

This one is a true "shooter", so I will keep it that way.

It says "W.P.D. 142".

It is a police trade in, but I don't know from where.
