Dayton Active Shooter

Well the last shooter in Texas didn’t like the Mexican immigrants. What’s the shooters problem in Ohio? Didn’t some terrorist group say they were planning an attack on us soil this weekend?

More prayers needed besides more armed citizens too.

I can't believe this stuff continues to happen. I am surprised that there haven't been some CCW's in these crowds. I am not proposing that a CCW actively pursue an active shooter, just surprised that in these crowds a CCW was not present and attempts to defend themselves. My prayers are with all of the victims families. Unfortunately, I am convinced that there is no way to prevent these terrorist acts from occurring. It is like catching serial killers, the randomness of the acts makes identifying them extremely challenging. I am not LEO and have no LEO experience, I agree that there are warning signs, however you can't follow up on every potential threat. It just isn't feasible. I wish there was a simple solution.

Where did the term "active shooter" come from? Is there such a thing as an "inactive shooter"? In this context isn't a shooter by definition "active"? Is this cop-speak or bureaucrat-ese or media-babble or just plain sloppy thinking?

Active shooter is used when there currently is someone shooting, inactive shooter is when they have been subdued. Active shooter event refers to a point in time that the shooter was active.

Ohio law does not allow a person carrying a concealed weapon to consume alcohol. They can go into a bar but cannot consume any alcoholic beverages.

Start to finish, under 1 minute! Cops were on the scene within 20 sec's, and bad guy finished under 1 minute! Less than 30 sec's to take down the bad guy:
DAYTON PD wins! That is unbelieveable; PD responds and eliminates theat in under 1 minute! Accually, under 50 sec's!

DPD RULES!

So how can we get this response to every shooting? I wish there was an easy answer.
