December 8th on MNF

I remember watching Monday Night Football when they announced John Lennon getting shot & killed on Dec. 8th. He & Paul were a heck of a song-writing duo. The 4 of them changed music dramatically. What a loss. R I P, John. (Dad always called the Beatles a "flash in the pan." What a flash!!)
On another note, James Douglass Morrison's birthday was Dec. 8th. Love him or hate him, he was a true genius. 149 IQ according to what Ray wrote in his book. But not smart enough to stay off the booze & drugs.

Will never forget that night. We were having the RISK game of the century and watching Monday Night Football. Talk about dumbfounded. Pure evil.

I was playing pool in the garage and heard it announced on the radio. When my brother came home he said something about the radio playing all Beatles songs. He'd put in an 8 track and hadn't heard the news.
