Decisions decisions...

I have a NIB Model 28-2 & a NIB Model 10 (no dash) sitting in the safe. Bought both of them several years ago. I intended to shoot them just like every revolver I have ever owned. Health issued have taken their toll and I just don't get to shoot much any longer. I don't attend Gun Shows and rarely look at current prices. So much to my surprise I see the unreal money some of these revolvers are bringing. So I am perplexed...these certainly aren't eating (costing any money sitting in the safe) and though I am on very limited income we certainly aren't starving...my son, DIL and grandchildren are all taken care of with some pretty nice firearms when I do kick the bucket. So what do y'all think ? Sell these while the market is up ? Continue to let them sleep and let my family decide what to do ? Drag my old rear end out to the range and just blast away ?

My opinion and only that both guns "worth" keeping.
If you do drag yourself to the range bring the grandkids and let them bond with the guns

See if you can post up some pictures on the site, and ask their worth, then you can list them for sale on the forums here.

If the 28-2 is truly NIB and has all the bits And pieces $800 or even more would not be out of the ordinary.

There is a thread on the forum about a $1000 28-2.

I can't speak to the Model 10, except to say, that I see them at my LGS a lot more than I see 28s.

Sounds like you're not in love with them; the guns that is. You could use, but don't have an urgent need for the money. So, my thoughts would be around what will you do with the money if you do sell them? Put it in the bank at .1% interest? Blow it on bills? Invest in whiskey and women? Unless you have a better investment opportunity I'd sit on them awhile longer. Our cash is getting cheaper everyday and our hard assets more valuable. And hard assets like NIB guns are these days fairly liquid; you can sell them on this site quickly at market prices. I'd keep them for awhile. . .
