Who makes pants with deep front pockets to accommodate a .38 snubby (Mod 49) in a pocket holster?

I would like to know also. I've had to have the right front pocket extended by the local clothing store's alteration lady on a couple pairs. It works fine; just that it was a bit of a hastle.

For jeans, try Duluth Trading Relaxfit Ballroom Jeans ...
511 or similar tactical pants usually have deeper pockets than jeans and have the added benefit of the cargo pocket in which you can use a pocket holster or good place to carry some speed strips.
I carry a M649 in a Galco nylon pocket holster in every pair of jeans that I own. It's no problem. If you want a deep pocket then switch to cargo pants. I have several pairs of Tru-Spec rip-stop cotton tactical/cargo-type pants and I can drop even bigger guns in pocket holsters in those and I usually do. Same as 5-11s I reckon.
I will note that concealment is never an issue. But some tighter pairs of jeans make drawing that little revolver slightly difficult but I practice that just in case.

I prefer Orvis pants. They generally have very deep, commodious front pockets. The old Zambezi twill are my favorites: great pockets and heavy enough fabric to not print.

I carry my 442 or my 640-1 in a Galco pocket holster in the front pocket of my Ariat jeans. I have been wearing Ariat jeans for the past 10-11 years. I will have to look at them for the model. My preferred cargo pants and shorts are Tru Spec and a G26 in a Galco pocket holster goes well in the front pocket of those

I second Duluth Trading but I get the Duluth-Flex cargo pants. I wear them everyday and often have a 2.5 in 686 in my right pocket. I have carried up to a 4 inch N frame. Cargo pockets are trim, and have a handy outside pocket just right for your smart phone. Pants are great but the color fades fast. They come in three cuts I think, so young bucks can have their skinny pants and us old fat guys can have relaxed. Their firehose pants are very thick, not what I wanted but they are "tougher than an angry beaver" as they say.

I don't have any problem with J-Frame carry in business casual pants I buy at Walmart. They actually work well.

+3 for Duluth. I wear their Ball room jeans, Flex cargo pants and shorts. Not only are they conducive to pocket carry, they’re very comfortable.

+4 for the Duluth ballroom jeans. Regular jeans with exceptionally deep pockets. Swallows up my 642 in a Mica. I don't do cargo pants. I barely tolerate cargo shorts.
You can actually bring the pants to a tailor and have him deepen the pocket. You just don't want it too deep so that the guns muzzle wll be banging you in the knee when you walk. This will only work if the pants are not too tight fitting.
Alternately, you can buy the 511 Style 74251 pants which have pokcets deep enough to conceal a snubnose J frame in a pocket holster.

Have several pairs of newer Carhart overalls that i deepened the pockets myself with saved brown duck from previously worn out Carhart's. Easily fit a Glock 19/23 and edl is right, the deepened portion needed attachment points to pants to keep from banging around. And it was a pita to do.

The design and material of men's pockets has definitely become less handy over the last century. Back when, even suit pants were made with the understanding that real men carried "stuff" in their pockets. Credit cards didn't exist and clothes were supposed to last.
After keeping the local tailor busy repairing pockets for decades, I discovered Carhartt washed duck work pants sometime back. The pockets are both sturdy and generous. Even better, the little tool pockets on the legs take speed strips. Do remember to take the speed strips out before washing. Watch for sales, bought right, they can be downright cheap considering how long they wear.

Wranglers are the only pants i wear, and have forever. it is crucial that you buy the right model. 13MWZPW and 47MWZPW will conceal a J frame in Mika holster, Sig P365X in Vedder Pocket Locker holster. or a Kahr P9 in Alabama holster. the P9 is marginal. these Wranglers are not the relaxed fit Wranglers. the relaxed fit 31MWZPW easily conceals the above mentioned firearms. the PW stands for pre washed. always buy pre washed, as they do not shrink after washing. am sure there are other Wrangler models that will work equally well.
i buy my pants directly from Wrangler online, as i live outside of a small Western town with limited shopping options. try the pants on and see if your firearm fits before buying. i'm an average sized guy, 5' 11" and 185#.

LL Bean Jeans are not only GREAT, but they have really deep and roomy front pockets. Those are all I have bought in 45 years.

In our city we have at least ten Tailor Shops ...
Take the pants you like to wear to the shop along with the holster , get permission from shop to bring in un-loaded firearm for fitting . Explain what you want done ... my tailor does a fitting , making sure the gun sits where I want it and replaces the old pocket with a new one making allowances for the holster .
To make a cleaner fit I had him sew a thin fabric holster into the pants ... I like it better when the holster is made in the pants pocket . Since I only carry a Airweight J-frame S&W snub nosed revolver ... I don't have to worry about 14 different pistols in some kind of rotational nonsense ...
One gun ... One pocket .
If the tailor can't/wont accomodate your needs seek out another .
These pocket alterations are usually cheaper than the cost of a holster .

Five or six years ago I switched all my pants to Wrangler cargos. At work I was required to wear black cargo pants True Specs cost 30 bucks plus shipping and Wranglers are 20 bucks and I can buy them at Walmart.
They are also ubiquitous in Colorado Springs, no one gives them a second look.
I can carry a Glock 26 in my front pocket in them so they should fit a .38

Plus one on the LL Bean jeans. Tried them for the first time about a year ago. I'm sold.

I carry a M38 or 642 comfortably in Carhart jeans or Wrangler cargos. As a matter of fact a Shield disappears in the Carharts, too.
I carried a S&W model 360 for at least ten years in a Uncle Mikes pocket holster. I am 5’10”, 200 pounds. Never had a problem with exposing my 360. I have Levi’s,JCP, Hagger. I can tell you I purchased three pair of Duluth short. Lots of room. Perfect. I think the pockets will be big enough for my Sig P365 and Vedder pocket holster. They are expensive but very good quality.

For years I have had no problem carrying either a J Frame or K Frame snubby in Wrangler "Relaxed Fit" jeans in pocket holsters of my own make which are loosely copied from the Galco pocket holsters. I currently wear size 40x30, but also had success when I was still able to wear size 36x30. and weigh 190 +/-. Naturally I have made frame-specific holsters for either J- or K-Frame guns. It's just a matter of buying jeans of the right cut and size.
