I've got a Famous Trails Night Vision device, which appears to be in brand new condition. The Model Number is FT-1000, complete with Warranty Registration Card, a zippered nylon carrying case, Instruction Manual, lens polishing/cleaning cloth, and the outer cardboard case, all in excellent condition. Battery has been installed, and the unit operates fine, I turned it on to check functioning, and it works quite well, even surprising me. The unit also has an Infrared Illuminator for enhancing vision in areas of extreme darkness, which also brightens the electronic image in very dim ambient light. In one of the photos, you can see the peephole built into the objective lens, for testing during the daytime. This hole limits the amount of light coming in, so as not to burn out the Image Intensifier Tube. It takes one CR-123 Lithium Ion Battery. Specifications for various Famous Trails Night Vision devices are available at Google. This specific model is not listed on their website, but the FT-950 comes quite close to it. I am selling this for the widow of a good friend, and she was unable to tell me exactly when her husband purchased it, or how much he paid for it, so I am posting it at $150.00, which is what she thought he paid for it. Shipping, handling and insurance, which is HIGHLY recommended for mailing anything these days, will be $12.00, payment may be made by US Postal Money Order or through PayPal since this is not a gun. Also, I have a practically new Pelican 1720 case, never been used, that is just taking up space in my closet, while leaving a large hole in my wallet. Since I recently lost my part-time job, and have no prospects of ever getting another one (after all, who (besides maybe Wal-Mart) is going to hire a disabled 74-year-old grumpy guy?), I'm forced to cut back on my wild and extravagant ( yeah, right! ) lifestyle, and slim down my pile of useless junk (oops, I meant to say "my collection of priceless treasures").
