Yours looks like a no dash. The dash after MOD doesn't count. It's the dashes that came after the 27 that count because they were associated with engineering changes. So yours is in the first generation of model marked guns. There were earlier guns which were similar to yours that had no model number. They are now referred to as pre 27s.
Correct, the "dash" refers to after the model number. Your family gun came from a fairly limited time window (about 1957 to the early '60s).
