I am thinking about buying a DeSantis Mini Slide or Veiled Partner for a S & W Shield Plus. I would appreciate any input from anyone that has tried either of them, especially how close they ride to the body and how concealed they appear under a shirt.

I like DeSantis holsters alot, and have a few. They fit nice and tight against the body, hold the gun well, draw easily, etc.
They very often can be found on sale.

^^^^^^^^ I have same gun in same holster only in brown. Love it. Rides high and tight to body. Retention is great. I think I found best price at Midway.

Thanks for the info! I certainly like the leather, just wanted to make sure it rode close to the body and was concealable.

I have a few DeSantis holsters. I like them, but I don't like the ones with the triple hole for the belt loop. I have been going with Don Home holsters first then DeSantis. I've stopped wasting money for diminishing returns and extra long waits with custom holsters.

I created this model for Gene DeSantis some 30 years ago. Hasn't it stood up well to the passage of time, in terms of styling and performance. It was news to many of my Nichols Innovation clients that 'slide' holsters are far more popular than conventional wisdom realizes. I did entirely different ones for other client companies including Aker and Assault Systems, both of whom still offer/sell these models.

FYI: Make sure you blue Loctite the screw once you get it to desired tightness. I have eventually lost or had to retighten screws that I was lucky enough to catch with kydex and leather holsters as well as with gun belts....
