Desert Camouflage M&P complete

I don't like the look of it but I have never cared much for painted guns but to each their own. The thing is that he took a $400 gun, added $25 worth of paint and ended up with a $200 gun because of the paint. SO instead of having the transfer fee and something left over for his NFA he now will probably only get the transfer fee back out of his gun.

I think ya did a good job, mate. And regardless of what a few people say, it's YOUR firearm to do what YOU want to do with!!

And @ $400ish dollars, what better gun is there to paint!

Cheers,
NgNl

Looks great, nice work!

It doesn't look "tacky" like most spray job turn out.
Looks perfect.

Not sure why my post didn't show up, maybe because I said the big C word?! Seriously? Didn't know that was a "bad" word. Anyway, I was saying sorry about what I said, it actually doesn't look that bad.

No worries man, it was never intended to be a work of art. Purely utilitarian finish. It did, however, sell within a couple hours of your post saying it never would ;)

My opinion is he took a $450.00 gun and made it his own. I also like the looks.
How do you think the guys over there Camo???
Spray Paint!!!
A friend of mine, just got back. He says the paint stuff started early in the war. With the Marines first, then the Army.
It was against regulations to paint your weapon before ~ 2003. Guy's laughed and said what are you going to do send me home for it?
110 degree temp. plus a black gun= Burn. To hot too hold.
That's why they wear Gloves!!! Any metal they touch will burn them.
Tan or earth colors don't heat up as much.

def looks good but I wouldnt really call it a desert camo. unless its just not showing up well in the pics. cant believe you did that with krylon though thats amazing.

While I personally like the look, usually it is hard to sell something that is personalized. It is like buying a bright pink Cadillac. There is only a small niche that would buy it. Glad you sold it so quickly.

Worked up my Smith in a desert camouflage pattern. I posted pics a while back but have since added a little extra tint to the rifle, made it a little darker. All done with 6 bucks worth of Walmart tan and black krylon. Its been a fun project, think Im gonna sell it to fund some NFA transfer fees though.

Here are a few pics, I tried to capture some images that show the camouflage paint as it appears in reality.

I actually like it a lot...
Just ignore the hater...

In fact I had a Bulgarian AK-74 I "misted" with a mix of grey and white Krylon over the black gun and it gave it a similar "urban camo" look..

I really like doing it this way, it doesnt leave the hard lines between the camo colors and patterns...
