Hey guys,

Long time lurker here. A lot of knowledgable folks here for sure.

Anyways, here's my story:

I knew what a Combat Masterpiece was by about time I was 7 years old as I listened intently to my dad tell me about the one he bought and carried doing courier flights in the Navy. (1967-72 VN Vet)

He sadly sold it when my brother and I were born but I took him shooting with my 15-3, and as soon as he held it I could see that same smile cross his face as when he would describe his from back when.

So needless to say when it comes to revolvers, I'm a Smith guy.

My humble collection is made up mostly of shooters and not lookers, but I would and do stake my life on any of them.

15-3, 4" from around 1968 (ex cop)
10-5, 5" from around 1971 (ex cop)
28-2, 4" from around 1972
442 PRO (no lock) never leave home without it.

Glad to be here, and thanks for making a great site.

Andrew

Welcome from Texas Andrew. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Greetings, Andrew. AND Welcome! Yes, it was sad that your dad sold his Model 15, but he did what he had to. I made a giant mistake by selling my fathers nickel Model 10 some time after he passed away. Man, do I regret that. You did good buying another 15 and sharing it with Dad! PS. I am a revolver guy also. Regards, Skip48 :)

Welcome to the forum from Arkansas and your collection will continue to grow if you are like the rest of us gun addicts.
