And it does not matter how many legs the Rat has....:)

Looks like you have a good collection of hp’s to play with there. Those are 2 excellent calibers for them, big bullets big holes.

Here’s a couple of my hp’s

dev1.jpg

A 45acp 185g HG #68 clone, does real well at over 1000fps
Left: a 158g penta point hp, does excellent at lower velocities (snub noses)
Center: a 158g large hp, a good all around performer
Right: 158g’s of pure hell!!! These are 9mm cases that were put thru a draw die to bring the dia to .357. Then a 32 cal cast bullet is added to the case & heated to bond the lead to the brass jacket. The huge hp is .2” deep & the brass jacket tears away from the flat lead slug in long strips when it hits something .

Top left: a 255g HG #503 clone with a small hp for long distances
Top center: a 250g HG #503 clone with a large hp, it’s good for any general hp application
Top right: a 245g HG #503 clone with the penta point hp, these things are real hitters & do extremely well in snub noses.
Bottom left: 220g of pure hell again!!! These are 40cal cases that have been bumped up to .430, had a 158g 38 cast bullet put in them & heated to bond the lead to the brass jacket. These bullets do the same thing as their 158g 357 counterparts, a .2” deep hp & the brass jacket tears away in long strips off the flat lead slug when they hit something.
Bottom right: a 220g hbwc that has a huge hp when turned around, they open up to a huge chunk of lead in a hurry.

What’s missing is my 150g hbwc’s, I have to cast more of them & yes they do as good as their 44 cal counterparts.

The Lyman 45 Dev mold is really quite accurate. Cast from range scrap, decent expansion @ 850fps & sub 2" groups @ 50ft. The bullet comes in lubed just over 200gr. I also have the 44 DEv mold, but had the gc removed & another pin made to cup point it. The cup point comes in around 275gr lubed, the std about 260gr.

I'll play!
