Did all 4506 mags have the S&W logo?

The reason I ask is that I have a stainless steel magazine for my 4506-1 that fits and functions fine with a thinned plastic base. With a full size base it won't insert enough to latch. An older steel 4506 base is a very tight fit. The magazine has numbered holes, and ambidextrous mag catch cutouts, but no logo. I'm guessing after-market (Pro-Mag?), but would like a second opinion.

No. Not all OEM magazines had the logo. That looks like an early magazine because it has an orange follower. Pro Mag followers look different.

Why it won't fit with a later base plate I don't know.

If it were mine I'd clean it up, put a new (black) follower and spring in and take it to the range.

Can we get a better picture of the floor plate? That kinda looks like a 645/745 mag with a pat stuck to the OEM metal floorplate.

Sevens, the baseplate pictured is the trimmed down (in thickness) plastic S&W plate the magazine came which allows it to seat. An unmolested one won't let the magazine be inserted enough to catch.
GaryS, I'm not sure the follower is original to the magazine. It functions fine as is, but yes, a new follower and spring are on hand. Nice to know that not all had the logo; all my other ones do.
Thanks for all your replies. I'm going to try to get the steel baseplate I have to fit better; that thin edge on the modified plastic one makes me nervous.
