a free magazine when S&W returned their Shield after having the trigger issue corrected? My Shield came back from the factory today and there was no free magazine.
Did anyone receive.....

Nope but I have heard of a few guys sending in their XDS and getting a Shield back in return.

LOL... Yeah. A few over on XD-Talk said they picked up on a Shield to 'hold 'em over' until their XD-Ss got back and found out that they actually like the Shield better. Surprise Surprise!!Back on Topic though... Although there HAD been 'reports' on Other Forums of Shield owners receiving a free mag with the Trigger Fix, nobody here has reported getting one (that I'd read).

Took two weeks for the sheild "safety issue" repair. No extra mag. in the box.
When S&W had troubles with the first gen M&P1522s, a few guys reported an extra magazine showed up when they got their guns back from factory service. Mine has made three trips back to the factory and the last time it came back with a new mag.....but not the gen one mag I sent in with it. They must have thought swapping a new mag for an old one was enough compensation for my time without my gun.

Sent my Shield in for a badly misaligned front sight and poor accuracy. I believe they replaced the barrel but didn't say so on the work order, also properly aligned the sight. When I got it back it had a new free mag. in the box.

The first thought that popped in my mind was, which magazine did they send you (ie Guns & Ammo, American Rifleman, etc)? Cause I was under the impression M&P mags didn't exist.

Warranty doesn't say you get compensation for time without your gun. Your compensation is that it's a lifetime warranty. Any time anyone gets a free magazine, it's a courtesy, nothing more.

Sent my 9mm Shield in for the safety alert and also a rear sight adjustment, which was obvious. Got the gun back with both items fixed and there was a new 9mm 7 round mag under the foam padding in the box, which I almost didn't notice until I took the foam out a week later. Sweet find.
