I'm sure all donations to food pantries are useful and appreciated. Next time you donate ask what they need most. Problem solved. Don't beat yourself up for doing a good thing.

I volunteer at the MOW's, don't deliver. But I work in a senior center where the clients get delivered by bus, or by their own cars if they are able to drive.
Can't tell you how much food gets dumped in the trash because people don't like this and that.
It cost the taxpayers of Wake County $12 a meal to provide for the "needy".

I never acquired a taste for anything deer related but I'll be damned if I was hungry I wouldn't turn down a free meal at a kitchen that served it to the needy.

Hang up a sign... There's no menu here! Take what you'll eat. If you don't like what's served try your luck on the streets.

$12 seems EXCESSIVE!

It cost the taxpayers of Wake County $12 a meal to provide for the "needy".

Local Senior Center says it is not losing money on the $6 they get paid for Meals On Wheels.
