......and I ended up buying TWO. I've had my eye on one of the .41 Magnum Model 58-1 Classics in the used case at Gander for a couple weeks now. Decent price at 649.99, and at least 98% condition. I don't reload, and don't intend to, but this big N frame in this caliber SPEAKS to me for some reason. I don't actually get to shoot as much as I'd like either, so maybe just buying some ammo won't be TOO bad. Anyway, I had pretty much justified myself buying the damn thing, even though I didn't need it. Went there last night, and it was still there, BUT..........lo and behold, right next to it was this really nice 66-2 snubbie with Goodyear grips on it for 549.99. I resigned myself to the 66, since it WAS cheaper than the 58, and was all set to do it, when the dept. manager offered to put the 58 on layaway. Got to thinking it over, and ended up walking out with both of them for an even grand, plus the tax. Don't think I got hurt, and it DID fix it to where I pay no interest on the Gander card if I pay it off in a year. Good enough reason, huh? The old 66 looks better with the boot grips, and the big 58 will look better if I can find a polished black N frame grip adapter, and maybe a set of Grashorn's smooth bone stocks. So much for just looking.
