Hello everybody.

Im looking to buy this rifle as my first rifle.
And I see so many different versions of it online and the prices are different.

For example the cheapest version of it comes with a 4x32 scope and bipods.
While the version with just pop-up sights is more expensive.

While I understand that the 4x32 scope is probably garbage im afraid maybe other parts has been suffering from the same problem of cutting corners.
If that's the case I rather pay 100$ more and enjoy better quality.

Any ideas?
Also is there a specific website you guys recommend that I can trust with customer service should I need it?

Thanks in advance for all the helpers

S&W has promo kits now with some savings, but they are the same basic 15-22 regardless of what add-ons you choose. The 4x scope is adequate for the 15-22's inherent accuracy. The 15-22 is a .22LR plinker that is loads of fun, but it is not a precision target rifle. A good bolt action .22 target rifle will get you much more accuracy for less money.

If any S&W current product requires warranty repair, contact S&W customer service for a prepaid return directly to S&W.

Welcome to the forum. I have what I reckon was the cheaper version at the time few years ago. 15-22 Sport with MBUS. This is a good price at the moment. Excellent little gun and for me with any good ammo, very accurate to at least 50m. Probably with not all that much practice, same out to 100m. My normal ammo is the CCI Tactical. CCI Ammunition - Product Detail

Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 Sport Rifle .22lr | 10208 | PSA

You can look around for a better price w free shipping, etc.

Can't wait to go shoot it

I finally got my shipping notification today, 7 business days after I ordered, so they weren't lying about the expected time-to-ship. I'm just glad they hit the front of the 7- to 10-business-day window and not the end or beyond.

Welcome to the forum! And welcome to the 15-22 platform. It's a great little gun but those magazines can be a bit tedious to load. So you might consider getting a mag loader. Most of the guys here use the McFadden lightning loader. It's doesn't cost much, and its money well spent. Has to have the little adapter to fit. I'd highly recommend it. It'll properly load a magazine, almost as fast as you can shoot the gun itself.
