Differences Between my Model 53's

I have two. One Model 53 K 4740xx 6 inch barrel has target grips with black washers and a diamond, regular sights, trigger and hammer my other is a 53-2 4k490xx 6 inch barrel target grips silver washer, no diamond, target trigger, hammer and target sights (white outline red front) why the marked difference between the two? I always thought Model 53 came with target gear. Which one is less common?

I have read that the target hammer and trigger were options for this model.

I'm not sure about the sight though.

I am no authority, but I believe the target version is less common. All came with Target Grips, but most came with standard Hammer & Trigger and standard sights. Diamond stocks were early version.

Thanks Kenny A I appreciate you sharing your knowledge....Incidentally My 53-2 shots much better groups than my 53....must be the sights. <vbg>
