Dillon 650 Tool Head at about half (added Link)

I see on another Forum that someone is selling 650 Tool Heads at a good price. They apparently are NOT made by Dillon, but by a third party. From the Forum threads these are available in anodized colors for ease of caliber change recognition.
Just passing along the information as I have zero connections with the vendor, seller, or ebay.

I haven't even visited the site as I do not have a 650. I have 4-SDBs.

As "cornie" as this might sound, after all the unbelievable customer service Dillon provides to their customers I would not even think of buying parts for their equipment after market just to save a few bucks.

Even IF the after market parts did work OK, I want Dillon parts on my Dillon Machine. If anything what so ever breaks or fails - they will take care if it - no questions asked.

Much has to do with owner maintenance. Kind of like old time steam locomotives with oil/grease requirements. Keep 'em clean and oiled, and they last longer.

Experience shows, that high usage machines do wear (I think we all know that). Dillon does have a good record with replacing parts at little or no cost..........depending on the model number.
Note: Dillon machines with potential commercial use, don't carry lifetime warranties.

Replacement part kits are for people like me. High usage, and an occasional loss of a spring or two.

I do like Dillon, because they produce exceptional equipment, and will support the company.

Ferrous alloys when subjected to loading conditions that are less than yield strength of the base material, have an infinite fatigue life. You can run the machine forever at that loading condition without the parts and pieces breaking.

Aluminum does not have an infinite fatigue life. Aluminum alloys work hardens at the points of highest and will eventually crack and fail.

An aluminum alloy part may have a service load of 500 pounds, a working stress of 8,000 psi, and a yield strength of 25,000 psi. Even though the working stress is 1/3 of the yield strength of the material, the part will eventually crack and fail. That's what aluminum alloys do.

Remember Guys......

ANY COMPANY - IN EVERY INDUSTRY gets knocked off (just look at the FAKE High End Watch Market). Every time people buy FAKES, that hurts the original Company's and they must raise their prices to fight the Corporate knock-offs. The Buyers also suffer by getting inferior products.
As a Businessman who has had their ideas / products knocked off (even with Pat. Pend. Status) I am well aware of the situation.

Dillon has PROVEN beyond a shadow of a doubt that their commitment to their customer base is genuine and I will continue to support that idea and practice. IF they were ripping off customers and had reneged on their CS, then that would be a "Press of a different color". OBVIOUSLY NOT THE CASE HERE.
