A few weeks ago I bought a stripped Anderson lower and a thirty round P-Mag, then ordered a carbine kit from Palmetto State Armory. The only part I did not get was a rear sight. I did have a spare mil-spec carry handle in my junk trunk. I was unable to find a plastic wag well support block in a local store, so I improvised. I had a pack of wood wedges like are used to level doors and windows. I used the wedges to fill up the mag well and locked the wood in my vise. My kit had a completed upper, all I had to assemble was the lower and install the luggage handle.

I hope it shoots well. With the cold weather and artic winds here in Atlanta for the next few days I may not get to shoot it.

I have a PSA pistol kit on an Anderson lower. It is a great shooter. I assembled it using basic hand tools watching a few build videos on YouTube. The barrel itself is probabbly the weakest link the system but should still be good for what most shooters will put it through. Just don’t expect more than a few thousand rounds from what I hear.

PSA has three levels of greatness, the Freedom series being the most affordable. They also have a lifetime warranty.

I got the green version so it would match my Sig.

I've lugged an M4 around and shot them enough to cure me of ever investing in an AR for my civilian life, no matter how inexpensive. :)
