Disappointed with the 340 scandium

Do you think he knows he posted in this thread in 2013.. One of his 3 total onsite?

IDK lol... I do know I wasted my time reading the thread as if it was a current event... I got to page #2 and dozens of post before I caught on :(

I have a 340PD that has only been shot enough so I know where it will hit w/my carry load, and I’m confident I can handle it accurately. For regular range practice (100 + rounds) I’ll use my Model 60 in the following drill: Using a standard paper plate @ three, five & seven yards empty the gun as fast as possible, combat reload and repeat. The objective is to keep all ten rounds on the plate.

Old thread...
The original photos in post #1 were gone, so I edited that post and restored them. I'm also posting the photos here.

I have thousands of rounds through my Ti/scan pocket guns without a hiccup, and have no doubt they're much, much more durable than Airweights. I'm not sure you can wear one out through normal shooting. My understanding is that 110gr bullets are not long enough to seal the b/c gap in the instant that the cartridge is at max pressure, which allows plasma cutting of the cylinder face and forcing cone. Hot gasses at tremendous pressure. Just read the manual and do what S&W suggests. The guns will last forever.

Couldn't agree more. I have a number of Sc/Ti Smiths and as long as you rigorously comply with the factory recommendations, they're trouble free.

I'm very persnickety about the Ti coating so I only use nylon brushes to clean these.
