Disappointed!

I hear you O P & I feel the same about the 19-4 I bought recently

That 19 with the 4" barrel sure feels & shoots good, even the mag rounds feel nice & are easy to control

And you still sleep at night?

Course i still sleep at night. I paid the asking price..cept on the 28..they wanted 200 but without a rear sight. I just dug the sight out for it..no screw..so i have to get one of them. I went to one yard sale a couple years ago and bought,,, seriously..21 guns, all the guys reloading stuff including the presses components reloading bench(one of the ones that National Reloading Manufacturers Asso has the plans for heavy). Even got the guys safe. I didn't buy all the guns either. One of them was a Dale Goens built custom rifle in 35 Whelen. Made on the best Mauser Action for Sporterizing 1909 Argentine Paid his asking price of 350 on it..Goens did beautiful work. It has boat oar plain wood but it also has 28 lines to inch checkering. Can't do that to poor wood for certain. I did feel a bit guilty on that one till I fell asleep. I truly did not know it was a Goens rifle till I checked the underside of the barrel. I would use it elk hunting if it weren't so blasted heavy.

Here is a bad pick of me new baby. Thanks for all the replies.

I recently bought 2 at a yard sale here in Wy.

Ouch!! It has been SO long since I could buy a gun at a yard sale... (I'm in California now...)

But Congrats to you!! I recently got a 1980 Model 19 to finally replace one that was stolen back in the '70s. Loving it!

there is no cure for the s&w disease, just a treatment that helps for a short time. you have to buy a new/old one when you start to get itichy, that will curb the pain for a little while. i just eased my pain, a model 25-5 is on the way. :D

Ah..Traded for a Hand Ejector in 32-20 today. I don't know why other than I got the gun for an early 44 Mag S&W box. Only thing I am still looking for is a M-57 in 4 inch..a shooter. I want it to carry in my coat up in Grizz country. I have a couple of 6 inchers but they won't fit all the way in the pocket.
