Discussion for owners of S&W M&P R8

Raising this from the dead. I recently picked up very nice 327 R8 but unfortunately three of the four screws for the top rail were missing. Any idea as to a source? Numerichs shows nothing for this model.

If you call Smith and Wesson's Customer service, I'm positive they'll send em to you. I stripped one of those top rail screws and had to drill it out- they sent me a replacement. And the plug replacements when I lost those too.

Well I ended up emailing S&W CS Thursday late afternoon. I received a phone call less than 24 hours later from S&W asking for my preferred shipping address for the screws, no charge. I explained I bought the revolver used and the missing screws were not their fault but they said free anyway.

It is good to know their service has not apparently declined.

They have good customer service. I've had many positive interactions with them. Most are generally friendly and want to help us out.

I am glad to hear they came through.

In case anyone is interested, per S&W the screw dimensions are 8-36X3/16"
