The earlier thread today about feeding your dogs table scraps brought to mind a discussion here on the forum from long ago. Rather than hijack that thread, I decided to start a new one.
About 4 or 5 years ago there was an excellent thread here on the fourm about the ingreadents in most of the very popular commerical pet foods.
One of the things that I could never forget was that most (IIRC) of the large commerical processors of dry pet foods used the bodys of euthanized animals, including dogs & cats, to raise the protien level of that food. There was compelling evidence of this practice in these posts by (apparently) very creditibly scientist.
Any of the 'oldtimers' here remember this thread? (It was after all several years ago) Can anyone shed any light on this? Since I celebrated the 2nd anniversary of my 36th biththday last Nov., my recall is not what it once was.
Thanks, Art
