I've been having a LOT of trouble with my laptop for a few weeks. Call it the "Perfect Storm" of cyber space. Problems with WiFi connection, Attacks from Yahoo/microsoft, and, as it turns out my hard drive was dying.

It got so bad I thought I had a virus. Tried many quick fixes and finally had to give up. Took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they determined that I didn't have a virus but my hard drive was belly up.

The good thing was that it wasn't completely dead and they were able to save all my files and pics to the new hard drive.

So, HOPEFULLY, I'm good to go for a while. Nothing like a dead hard drive to make you able to appreciate a properly working laptop.

For me not being able to hang with this out fit is the purest form of ****. Very stressful because for one with my level of computer savvy there is no guarantee that you can ever get it back once you lose it. I feel like a little kid that got separated from his mom in a big store and finally got back to her.

I don't expect I'll live long enough to see really easy and trouble free computers that don't do all the stuff they do now but it's a dream I have.

I'm not sure anyone will live that long, Jack. Maybe my little great-granddaughters, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Nice to see you up and running again. I went through that not so long ago, and I know what a lousy feeling it is.

It was only mostly dead. :D
