Do Folks Really Eat These

Great stuff if you'll only try it.
... from good Dim Sum restaurants.

It's not BAD....but.....

A lotta gnawing for very little nourishment.

Glad to see.... for our visitors from the south of the border.

My aunt worked in the grocery biz in S. Florida for decades. The Caribbean immigrants LOVE them...mostly as base for soup stock, or bone broth.

(chicken intestines) are a popular street food here in the Philippines. Chewy

Indeed, and no BONEs to worry about.

I used to eat chicken heart stew and and soup as a kid. I thought that was the most inedible part of a chicken that people ate. Until now.

I think I can go one notch beyond that. I was having lunch with a Korean friend at her favorite restaurant. Most of the menu was in Korean with English translations. That is, except for one entrée at the bottom. Of course I was curious and I asked her. She turned about as pink as a Korean lady can. When I finally coaxed it out of her, she said it was vegetables and chicken anuses.

Yikes!

She said it was a delicacy. Only one per chicken and it takes a lot of chickens to make the meal.

No. I didn't.

As a kid growing up in CT, whole boiled chickens - including the feet - were standard fare in our household.

That being said, I remember my Mom and I as being the only ones to partake of the feet. Still consider these as a "delicacy".

Sounds like a Ron White routine.
Only she was dead serious. One time I made the mistake of kidding her about eating dog. That torqued her off big time! In no uncertain terms, she informed me that only old Koreans eat dog. She's quite serious about food, but you'd best watch carefully what she puts on your plate.
